    Sprouting into the Future: How we rebuilt Trees That Count

    Hasura is a product we’ve had our eye on for a while here at Abletech. We’ve used it for hobby projects, given tech talks on it and even written blog articles on our experience using it. When Project Crimson approached us about rebuilding their Trees That Count application in mid-2022, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to use Hasura and develop a solution that built upon their existing database but utilised a modern, extensible, scalable and maintainable tech stack - all with an organisation that aligned perfectly with Abletech’s core values.

    Dairy giant takes a digital leap to the cloud

    Having been in the dairy industry for more than 100 years, LIC understands the importance of agility, innovation and outstanding customer service. And with a team of 750 and more than 1,300 seasonal staff spread around the country, it also knows it needs to get things right. That’s why it chose Abletech to help take its business (and its staff and customers) to the cloud.

    Saving lives every day

    When the Abletech team learned about one man’s mission to put defibrillator locations online, they offered to design the website and app for free. Today more than 12,000 defibrillator locations can be accessed in seconds – enabling professionals and everyday Kiwis to give vital and urgent support to people in cardiac arrest.

    Fractional Asset Register and QLDB for Goldie

    Platforms like Sharesies and Hatch have lowered the bar for entry to access worldwide stocks and commodities. Goldie is applying the same disruptive market shift to open up investment into real assets, starting with precious metals for all people on any budget.     Keen to upgrade its investment reporting system – both internally and for its clients – a Gisborne accounting and advisory business located in Tairāwhiti with a financial services business with global connections called on Abletech for help. The result is a smart, efficient, bespoke solution that’s improved business efficiency while helping clients to achieve their dreams.

    When the technology behind an online training resource for New Zealand’s budding surgeons needed upgrading, Abletech was there to help. Working closely with the training organisation, assessors and trainees, the team developed a smart, tailor-made solution that minimised assessors’ workloads and maximised the trainee learning and feedback experience.
